Alexandre Maitrot de la Motte, Partner, works within the Tax Law department. Alongside his academic career, he has spent the past twenty years advising numerous law firms on all areas of tax law (European and international taxation, constitutional tax law, local taxation, corporate taxation, individual and financial institutions taxation, etc.), before joining Simon Associés in 2025.
His versatility and exceptional rigor enable him to provide the firm’s clients (CAC 40 groups, mid-sized companies, financial institutions, and individuals) with tailored solutions adapted to complex tax issues, ensuring legal security, compliance, and economic performance.
A recognized specialist in European and international tax law, Alexandre Maitrot de la Motte serves as Scientific Director of the Revue de Droit Fiscal and the Juris-Classeur Fiscal. He has acted as an expert for the European Commission and the European Parliament and has been heard on several occasions by the French National Assembly.
He is also a Professor at the Faculty of Law of UPEC, where he previously served as First Vice-Dean. He heads the Master’s program in Tax Law (specialization in Applied Taxation) and founded the research group “Markets, Institutions, Liberties.” He is Honorary President of Université Paris-Est.
